The stability of force sensor is very important for all kinds of electronic testing machine and force measurement system which determines the stability of the whole product and system. At present, there is no unified evaluation standard and testing method for the stability of force sensors in the world. All the manufacturers of force sensors in the world admit that stability is an important quality index of force sensors, but few stability indexes are given in product instructions. However, there is a common experience in the industry. It is not difficult to develop a high accuracy force sensor under the current conditions, but it is very difficult to develop a good long-term stability of the force sensor. The quality of small batch production force sensor can be controlled, but mass production is difficult to control. The stability of force sensor can be divided into three periods, namely initial stable period, stable period and fatigue unstable period. In the initial instable period, the performance of transducer fluctuates greatly, mainly in the instability of zero and sensitivity. Because the elastic element after rough forging, machining, heat treatment, tables, picture processing, surface grinding, the resistance strain gauge paste and pressurized solidification process, it will produce residual stress. With the increase of time the residual stress gradually released. So the residual stress caused by strain sensors in the use of early performance is not stable. Before the force sensor leaves the factory, various stability treatments (also known as artificial aging test) are carried out by simulating the service conditions. We can minimize the performance fluctuation in the production process, and the load cell will enter a stable working period when circulating to users.
