Load cell adopts the principle of resistance strain type, which can transform the gravity or pressure acting on the measured object into a measurable electrical signal.

The force sensor is an elastomer (elastic element) that deforms elastically under the action of an external force, so that the resistance strain gauges affixed to its surface also deform. After the deformation of the resistance strain gauge, its resistance value will increase or decrease. And then by the corresponding measurement circuit to convert this resistance change into voltage or current signals, thus completing the process of transforming the external force into electrical signals. Thus, resistance strain gauge, elastomer and detection circuit are the main parts of resistance strain force transducer.

The role of the elastomer is to sense the force of an external object, and at the same time the elastomer uses the reaction force to withstand the action of this object. The resistance strain gauge is an inherited part that converts the force exerted on it by the elastomer into a change in the resistance value, and then transmits the information of this change to the next step. The composition of the resistance strain gauge is actually a resistance wire and an organic material base, the elongation of the resistance wire can cause the change of resistance. The role of the detection circuit is very important, the detection circuit should have a strong anti-interference, to ensure that the signal conversion will not be affected by the surrounding environment, so as to ensure the accuracy of weighing.
